Q&A: Hear from our talent acquisition team
Take an inside look at what members of our talent acquisition team are thinking when they’re recruiting, interviewing, and inviting new people to join the Graham team.

Graham Healthcare Group is a far-reaching organization with opportunities at every turn. If you’re looking to take your career journey here and join one of our many dedicated teams, the first step is successfully navigating our application process. We know every company has different approaches to this, which is why we’ve asked some of our talent acquisition team for insights to help you along the way.
“Whether you’re providing care at the bedside, supporting teams in the field, or helping behind the scenes, your impact here is real and lasting,” shares Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, Kristin Kelly. “We’re proud to foster a culture built on empathy, integrity, and collaboration – and we’re always looking for people who share those values.”
Meet the team
These are just a few of the friendly faces you might see when you begin an application journey with us. Together, they’ve provided some expert advice on how to best navigate the recruitment process with Graham Healthcare Group. From left to right, we’d like to introduce Maya H., one of the Talent Acquisition Specialists for our Back Office, followed by Kelly M. and Mackenzie J. who are both Talent Acquisition Specialists for Home Health.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone applying for a role at Graham?
“Be sure to verify your email address in the email you receive once you’ve applied. Verifying that email address helps move our email communication from spam to your inbox. It’s possible without verifying, you could be missing communication from the team!”
- Mackenzie J, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Home Health
“I wish candidates would realize it’s equally important for us to sell them the position as it is for them to sell themselves as candidates, so the interview is simply an open conversation. They feel like the pressure is only on them, but it’s also on us, too!”
- Kelly M, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Home Health
What can a candidate do before and after they interview to leave a good impression?
“Be prepared, be authentic, and be clear about your goals. A strong first impression happens when candidates confidently speak to their experience and how it applies to the role, while also showing genuine interest in the organization. Share what excites you about the opportunity and ask thoughtful questions. It shows that you’ve done your homework and are truly invested in the process.”
- Maya H, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Back Office
“The candidate can research the company web page, utilize social media such as LinkedIn to review their hiring committee, test out their technology, and also ask questions of their recruiter. Also, be sure to send confirmation and follow-up communication!”
- Mackenzie J, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Home Health
Is there anything applicants often overlook when navigating our career site that you’d recommend they pay attention to?
“Take time to understand all of the details from the job description. A lot of times we’ll see candidates who missed key information about the role and didn’t realize the location, or thought it was a full-time position rather than part-time, for example.”
- Kelly M, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Home Health
“There are filter settings within our career site, so you can sort the postings according to your passions and interests. Graham Healthcare Group includes Residential Home Health and Hospice, AHN Healthcare@Home, Mary Free Bed at Home, and more – but certain postings can only be found on specific sides of the business.”
- Mackenzie J, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Home Health
Does it help when applicants share their “why” throughout the process?
“Sharing your ‘why’ helps hiring managers connect with you beyond your resume. It gives insight into what motivates you, what you’re passionate about, and why you’re interested in the role and the organization. You can share your ‘why’ during a recruiter screening and interview with the hiring manager. When you share your ‘why’ be honest and specific. Think about what draws you to the role, how it aligns with your values or experiences, and why Graham is the place you want to be.”
- Maya H, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Back Office
“Yes, this can help a candidate stand out from other applicants who maybe did not put as much effort into their application. It could also help a recruiter easily identify applicants who would be a great culture fit to a team – even if they may need additional training because they’re new to the field. Some managers are looking for individuals who help their team thrive culturally and telling us more about yourself can help with that.”
- Mackenzie J, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Home Health
