Accounts Payable Specialist II

Graham Healthcare Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist II to contribute to the overall excellence of the Finance and Accounting teams. This position will work directly with vendors and individuals across the organization on questions and requests.
Accounts Payable Specialist II Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate and process medical claims for accuracy and compliance with Medicare/federal payment rates
Review medical facility contract data to ensure invoiced amounts agree
Coordinate/draft and send medical claims denials and work with vendors on any amounts adjusted
Conduct weekly payment process including checks, ach's, wires and virtual cards
Other invoice processing, including proper GL coding, allocations, and obtaining approvals
Verify vendor statements by researching missing invoices and payments and answering vendor inquiries about payment status
Provide support for other accounts payable staff to manage workload and share responsibilities
Administer month-end closing and year-end closing tasks, including accruals reporting, 1099 reporting/filing, sales and use tax filing/reporting reconciliations.
Qualification Requirements
Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience with medical claims/billing a plus
Knowledge of Home Health/Hospice Medicare/Medicaid compliance a plus
Experience with 1099 and other AP year-end filing/reporting
Strong computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and various other accounting software applications
Experience with Sage Intacct a plus
Experience with HCHB a plus
