Summary

The Data Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture. The role will include processing large amounts of data, including integrating data from multiple sources. This position will be a member of the Engineering team within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a technical background, capable of achieving high standards of quality and performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Python, and SAS.
  • Work in an Agile environment (Kanban)
  • Work with team in a collaborative environment to deliver solutions to internal and external customers
  • Apply best practices and design patterns of best-in-breed applications
  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions, and production issues reported by end users
  • Complies with and ensures that teams comply with Graham Healthcare Group’s corporate values of Respect, Innovation, Collaboration and Excellence
  • Other duties assigned by management

Qualification Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency with Python and/or SAS a plus.
  • Proficiency with testing and QA of code and results.
  • Experience with integrating data from disconnected datasources including, flat files, Excel, and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.

Education and/or Experience

  • 4 years Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Current SAS/Python certifications a plus
  • Efficieny with Micrososft Office products

Must have and maintain in good standing professional license, certificate, or registration, as applicable.
